UPDATE, 11:23 p.m.: I can't tell you how much it annoys me that this post refuses to display in the right font. I've tried to fix it about ten times. Gah! Stupid Blogger! Note that I can make the fonts change. I just can't make them normal.
UPDATE, 11:38 p.m.: I am embarrassed to admit that it took me until now to have the thought that I should go into the html version and delete the goofy tags. We have normality. I repeat: We have normality. Ten points to the first person who gets that normality reference without a search engine.

Oooh - that *is* pressure!
It wasn't for work, but I e-mailed Thomas Schelling after he won the Nobel. He's the reason I'm in graduate school, and for a reason I don't remember, I decided I needed to tell him that. About a month later, I got a nice little response thanking me and wishing me well with my dissertation (i.e., not copied and pasted).
Aw, that's nice! If all goes according to plan, and it had better, I'll talk to the guy in the next week or two.
you know, the first thing i thought when i saw this post [without reading it first] was "ooh, crappy font! that needs to be fixed." sorry it's not working out for you this time around.
