furniture desire
I want this chair. Maybe in...orange wool? Too bad it costs $2,129. First person to give me a reason why I should buy it anyway (and to send me two thousand bucks) wins. Alternatively, I could go for this chair. Which costs even more. They have these chairs at my favorite design store and they're both sooooo comfortable. Sometimes I go visit them.

But hey, it comes with free shipping! Seriously, who in their right mind would pay that much for that chair?
Both of those chairs look so freaking awesome. Hey what did you come out on that HGTV design test that Po posted? Is 7th Street fun for shopping? I'm looking for fun things to do in D.C. when I bring WestofRome there for the first time...
Rustic! We should definitely visit that store - they don't mind if you just go in and sit on the chairs. Also, there's tasty food right across the street (Oyamel) or up the street (Jaleo). And a cool museum nearby (american art & portrait gallery). So I think it would be a worthwhile neighborhood to visit, although Chinatown has become distressingly sterile and un-Chinese.
...you have good taste, a little modern for mine, but then what isn't. Only other option - IKEA, you can get almost exactly the same thing (NOT) for $149...and it would look modern and Scandinavian (sort of)....:)
If Ikea had knocked off these chairs, I would be all over it, but no such luck.
