* Again, G-dog: no smacking. I am very, very proud.
I'm actually really enjoying tech week. It's a lot of time, sure - we were there until after 10 tonight - but it's time when I don't have to do anything but sing, dance, chat, and play handbells. No reporting, no reading internship applications, no watch or glasses, nothing but dressing up in a fun costume and pretending to be Norwegian.
Last night at one point, G and I were standing together while the director worked on something on another part of the stage. Right next to me, two of the bossiest chorus members were doing their best to out-bossy each other. This was annoying at first, but got funnier as the minutes ticked by and they were still arguing about who was supposed to move where when. I mean, really, people - it does not matter. So I was happy when one of the director's general instructions at the beginning of rehearsal tonight was not to try to direct the people around you. This led to amusing situations where I wanted to tell the volunteer directors not to direct, but then I wondered if that would count as me directing them?

who was out-bossying whom? why did I miss this? and why can't we FISK's spend more time in Norway?
I found I wanted to tell the know-it-alls to stop directing too, but worried I would then be directing as well. it was an exercise in self-control.
