in stupid
A few weeks ago Miss Shirley and I went to see In Bruges. I really didn't care for it for a lot of reasons (the director's been compared to Tarantino, who I hate). One of the many reasons I didn't like it was that it got cheap laughs from fat American tourists, and I had a little suspicion which I just now remembered to confirm on imdb - the actors were British. Dude, if you're going to make fun of Americans, at least hire American actors. Or British actors who can do the accent.

I couldn't tell how to feel about that movie. It was dark as hell...but it was funny...but it was so dark! I didn't hate it...I was just deeply uncomfortable for 107 minutes.
I always feel like jokes about fat American tourists are for people who haven't ever actually dealt with any of them. Because, having encountered a few in my day, they aren't funny, they're annoying and embarrassing at the same time.
