pumpkins

Greenfield Village was already decorated for Halloween last weekend, with jack-o-lanterns everywhere. It was pretty cool. (Also in this picture: my parents.) Carving pumpkins is definitely my favorite thing about Halloween - I don't really like dressing up and I can kind of take or leave the candy. But I haven't carved a single pumpkin this year, and the carving season ends Wednesday! And I can't do anything between now and Saturday except sew things on scarves!

The GF and I just bought our 'kins yesterday, just in time to carve them before our fiesta tomorrow. I doubt I'll carve anything as elaborate as what I did last year, but in the end the best part of carving pumpkins is roasting the seeds...mmm...

Yep, I'll be there all day, although I suppose J.Chu and I might trade off dinnertimes.

Bah! You can totally carve pumpkins in November. They'll be cheaper then, and you can save the insides for pie! Although pie pumpkins and carving pumpkins are two different things, methinks.

ugh. not sure if i can make it now . . . but i may be able to switch some errands from saturday to sunday since they can be done at standard stores and the fair is only one day. i didn't get a chance to take back the day before terry sent out the volunteer list for Festival Day, so i'm now heading over there at 2ish.

ce la vie. at least it's fun. :)
