This morning I hung out with some bustards at the zoo. They're babies, just a couple of months old, but they're already about two feet tall. One of them tried to eat my watch.
Then I went back to the office and interviewed Joshua Bell by phone. He was super nice and said more or less exactly what I needed him to say. He's in Paris - he played there last night and he's playing in Montreux tomorrow night.
My job is so cool.

Joshua Bell is so lovely as a live player! I believe Sophist and I saw him together - or maybe it was my manipulative ex-boyfriend. It all gets mixed up in my head.
Anyway, I think he's just delightful. And cute.
...Joshua Bell is delightful and cute, not my ex.
Yeah, pretty much the first thing out of his mouth was a quote I could've used for my story. So after that Barkley said I should've been like, sooooo, what's your sign? do you like Indian food?
Bustards look like post-apocalyptic chickens. Are you writing a feature on animals after nuclear annihilation? I don't want to do your job for you, but you should take at look at the Goblin Shark. You don't need a nose-stabber like that unless there are 4,000-foot mutant whales to kill.
wow, joshua bell. i was so shocked to hear that he is now 40. every musician i knew growing up had a big crush on him, he was a teen idol! that is awesome that you got to talk to him...
and yes, J. po and I did see Joshua Bell together - possibly with the manipulative ex-boyfriend, i can't remember if he was there!
to quote J. Po re: Bell, "Oh, the technique!!!"
I don't know this "Barkley" but I totally agree with him/her. I mean you know I have very high standards for who would be worthy of you and I think I could accept Joshua Bell.
Sophist, I checked and he's only 39. Totally not old! He turns 40 the day after I turn 32. (Holy crap, people, I'm turning 32.)
