mudcloth

I have no idea what I'm doing with the whole furnishing and decorating an apartment thing. (This is partly why I'm happy with IKEA, because if I make a mistake, it's not a really, really expensive mistake.) (I also like IKEA because I'm cheap.) Does anyone have any idea what you do in a kinda big room with really high ceilings? Say if I were hanging a big piece of cloth. Horizontal? Vertical? Hang from the top of the wall? Hang from a little ways below the top of the wall? Seriously, people. I am hopeless. I've tacked up my awesome big piece of mudcloth, but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

What would be AWESOME is if you could hang some sort of chandelier from the really tall ceiling. My guess is you can't re-do the wiring, however.

RE: wall hanging, I would say hang vertically - hang from slightly below the ceiling line. Or get something square, so it doesn't make a difference. WOO!

Also, there's a ceiling fan, and I think the chandelier might fight with it. Thanks for the tip on the hanging!
