public service announcement

Go listen to the mashup on the Polyphonic Spree website (it's the music that starts playing once the ridiculous flash loads), imagine 23 people on stage in robes with random instruments, and then tell me why you don't already have tickets to see them. They'll be in D.C. June 30th, San Francisco July 17th, and - whaddya know, those punks are skipping Madison. But they'll be in Milwaukee July 9th, and if you really liked wacky rocky-choiry music, you'd go. Oh, yes, you would.

They're playing Chicago, too, but only as part of Lollapalooza, so, eh.

Hm. On further looking at the website, I think they might have traded the choir robes for black jumpsuit-like things. Excellent. Can't wait.

It's 25 bucks, and it is the awesome. You can never quite figure out if they're serious. And eventually you're like, eh, who cares, it's catchy.

Yeah, lollapalooza = huge "eh". I went the first year and it was pretty good, but last year's lineup wasn't really worth all the $$$. And this year's doesn't look all that much better. I'll probably give it a pass and wait for pirated video clips to show up on youtube.
