pie, the real kind this time

Tonight IBYB stopped in as part of her fabulous Thanksgiving progressive. She brought pie.

It was outstanding pie. There was much discussion of how one cuts up a pie for six people, which seems like it shouldn't be that difficult except (a) my dad was involved and (b) my mom wanted a smaller piece. So there was one piece left over. After we'd all had pie, my dad split that piece four ways and I scored the leftover pastry leaf (above: my sliver). And it was goooooooooood.

Next time, I'll make more leaves... This should alleviate some of the pie-cutting angst. :) And also, maybe I'll buy another pie plate...you know, to protect the table. :D

Thanks again for having me. I always have a blast with your family...

Nice leaves and all, but did you eat next to a Senator? I thought not. I win Thanksgiving once again, increasing my streak to 13 straight years.
