Seriously. I cannot stop blogging tonight.
I just read IBYB's blogview of Happy Feet and was thinking. I have this complete prejudice against computer-animated movies that aren't made by Pixar. It's just, the Pixar ones are so good. Finding Nemo? The Incredibles? Toy Story? Genius! And the non-Pixar ones seem to be so mediocre. Antz? Dreadful. And I realize I'm in a minority, but I'm not that impressed by Shrek or the sequel. Not to mention Happy Feet and many others I haven't seen because of bad reviews or terrible-looking trailers. The one exception is Flushed Away, but I already knew I loved Aardman.
Whaddya think? Irrational prejudice? Have you loved any of the non-Pixar CG movies?

It's because the Pixar people are much cleverer about it. They give you that feeling of realism, but with a lot of fun. I don't know how they do it, but it's some pretty cool magic.
Btw, I finally just saw Cars and it was incredible. Really...so much better than I anticipated. Yay!
Yeah! I was skeptical about Cars, and then I saw it, and I was in love. I think it's because Pixar cares more about story.
I'm no connoisseur of animated movies, but I did appreciate Shrek. Really, how could you not love a feminist fairy tale? Ever After, anyone?
I just got sick of the incessant poop jokes in Shrek. And all the pop culture references that will expire in a few years, if they haven't already.
I disliked the first Shrek so much that I refused to watch the second. I appreciate the animation of it, but I have an irrational dislike of Eddie Murphy.
