I had already planned to visit my local B&J for a free cone today, but I'm extra happy because I've come down with some chest cold/flu deal, so some delicious ice cream will be extra appreciated.Had I been healthy, I probably would have tried the new baklava ice cream or something like that. Instead, I'll probably go Phish Food (my favorite).
I saw the LINE at the B&Js on 7th Street SE at lunch (daily walk route)...it was insane. I'm glad we stopped for a quick SHOT (Espresso) at the - yet, but soon, to open - Port City Java shop (far end of 7th).... A nice pick-me-up along the way. I may try B&Js later today but it didn't look hopeful without a LONG wait.
When I went just after noon, the line was just barely out the door. When I went again just now, it was pretty long, but it only took 15 minutes to get through - they had a ton of people working. Note to self: in future, don't go right after school gets out at Georgetown Visitation.
The line in Madison was similarly long-but-fast. They stepped it up by only offering five flavors - so they didn't have to get new cartons that often. I had chocolate fudge brownie - yum.
Totally missed your post... guess that's the price I pay for being a lax blog reader. :( so sad I missed a free cone at B&J.
p.s. I liked the "When I went again just now..."
