Oh, I'm still on the vacation pictures. That's Berlin. I've seen a lot of this in Europe - construction sites covered up to look like the building that's being worked on.
I actually kind of like that. In Chicago though they get the same effect by tearing down everything except the facade on a building and completely building a new building behind it that uses the same facade. Then, of course, the developer gets to keep the City Landmark status.
Sometimes I think my city government is stupid. But then I remember it's just corrupt.
