bedtime

Ever since I got back from Germany, I've been getting to bed at respectable times. Not every night, of course (it's 11:15 and I'm starting a blog post), but most nights. The first few weeks I got back, I rarely made it past 10 or 10:30, and I figured it was jetlag and exhaustion, but it's continued.

It's really kind of *nice* getting tired at night. My usual pattern the last few years has been that I'm ok after work, then go into a slump around 8, then get more and more awake as the night goes on until at 1 or so I'm like, oh man, the alarm is going off in six hours. I rarely have trouble going to sleep once I get myself in bed, but it's that going to bed step that's hard.

But now? At 9:30 I'm starting to think about bed and by 10:30 I'm dragging. This kind of rocks. I hope it's permanent. (Although it would be nice to have the fortitude to stay up later *sometimes*.)

Maybe you'll have to have your doctor prescribe you a trip to Europe every year in order to maintain your circadian rhythms. Score!
