24-7

This is a picture of the entrance to the largest synagogue in Germany.

See those two guys in green? Every Jewish site I saw in Berlin had police outside, and they're there around the clock. The whole time I was there, I had to go through security at only four places: the Reichstag (the Parliament building), the New Synagogue (built in the late 19th century, bombed in WW2, now a museum and community center), the Jewish Museum, and the information center at the holocaust memorial.
