Ohmygosh you guys. It is so exciting living somewhere where a primary actually matters! I've never had my vote count in a primary, and now in the last week I've seen two Obama ads and one McCain ad, and I hardly ever even watch TV. Still waiting for a Clinton ad...omg. I just walked away from the computer for two minutes and a Clinton ad came on. This ROCKS.
Update, 15 minutes later: Another Hillary ad - and it's a different one! So exciting! And it's being immediately followed by a McCain ad! Man. This is cool. I can see how political ads might get old if you lived in, say, Ohio in October, but for this one week, I am psyched.

it's so exciting!!!!!!!! can't wait to find out what all is going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wrote (and am still updating) a post about Nebraska's caucus today - there's something electric in the air, even in the reddest of the rural, central red states. I didn't even realize Nebraska had that many people that would publicly admit to being Democrats!
I realized today that, in addition to having failed to change my address yet with the DC voting office, I had also registered as a member of the DC Statehood Green Party. Have you seen any ads for their presidential candidates? My thinking at the time was something along the lines of, "My vote barely counts anyway, and this town has enough Democrats, so why don't I semi-ironically sign up with the leftists?"
Oh, the bitter irony.
It's nice that for once something that is happening in D.C. really does matter, as opposed to people just thinking it does. Early best wishes for the Tuesday Primary Towwas.
