I was taking pictures of two dresses I'd just bought so I could send them to Miss Shirley for a fashion consult - I wasn't sure which one I should wear to K619's wedding this weekend. This one won that competition, but I ended up keeping both. Because a girl just can't have too many cute strappy brown dresses, that's what I say!
I feel like I'm not normally that in tune with fashion trends, but I now have three chocolate brown dresses in my closet. What is that? Anyone else noticed all the brown showing up this year? Or has it always been there and I just now noticed it?

I dunno about the trend, but I like brown on girls because it makes me think that maybe - just maybe - they might be made out of chocolate. Or covered in hot fudge...either would work really, so long as I get to have some chocolate along with the girl.
Think of how convenient that would be though! If it was a hot day and you had worn long pants by mistake, you could just break off the legs and eat them! Thereby satisfying a chocolate urge and also converting the pants to a pair of kicky capris!
[Editors note: the above comment was intended to describe whatever the girl was wearing as being made out of chocolate - not that the girl was made out of chocolate. I did not intend to sound as though I believe the best way to make capris was to bite off the girl's legs.]

I've been noticing the chocolate brown trend as well! I was looking for curtains over the past week and thought "Hmmm...maybe a nice chocolate brown." And all the furniture right now is 'espresso,' which is kind of a dark-chocolate brown.
I LOVED chocolate brown with sky blue. It's so pretty.
I've had a love for that color for years - and so glad to see it showing up at many clothing outlets about town!
Yes, I agree with Po - Brown with sky blue = lovely. I have a new dress that is pink with brown, and i love it too. I think I'll post it!
oh yeah your pictures remind me, I don't have a mirror in my apartment so I use photobooth to get full length shots before deciding whether or not to keep something... reminds me of "Clueless" where Cher says she doesn't trust a mirror, only polaroids!

i love brown, really, i do. but i never buy anything brown because all my shoes are black. so why don't i buy brown shoes? because i don't own anything to go with them. :)
