If you're wondering, and I know you are, the president of OAM is in favor of the rankings. We chatted about it Sunday morning in the breakfast receiving line. To paraphrase, he said, hey, it's flawed, but it's the only game in town, and he'll defend it.

What about you? Are you a rankings partisan?

I think I pretty much come down on it where the president of My Alma Mater does - collecting data and making it accessible to college applicants and their parents seems like a good idea. I don't know if the rankings are the best way of doing it, but they're the only game in town, and by refusing to cooperate, all these other college presidents are fighting for *less* transparency. Awesome!
