My boss put flowers in my office before I got in on Monday. Isn't that nice? I got my new furniture today. Including a desk on which the bottom drawers would not quite close all the way, so Mr. S and I dug around with a yard stick and fished out many exciting items, including an empty padded envelope, a bunch of mailing labels that had lost their stickiness, and someone's 1040 from 1997.People have their offices totally decked out - there are many rugs, and lots of random artsy items, and I have seen not one, but *two* offices with fish tanks. I don't think I'll go that far, but it would be nice to have some stuff on the walls. Somebody stopped by and made fun of me this afternoon for having such a bare office. On my fourth day! Cut me some slack, people!
