week of weird news

So, how 'bout this Anna Nicole Smith story? I actually think it's very sad - the whole thing, from her fight with her dead husband's kids to her son dying to the hideous custody battle her daughter is about to enter - but, at the same time, is this not the best story ever? Better even than the astronut?

I mean, consider the elements:
Playboy.
A 26-year-old marrying an 89-year-old.
Reality TV.
TrimSpa.
Giant boobs.
The dead son.
A paternity dispute.
Court-ordered DNA testing.
People getting evicted from houses in the Bahamas.
A casino. Even better: it's on an indian reservation.
The Supreme Court. The freaking SUPREME COURT ruled on her case.

This, my friends, is a story. There's something for everyone. Who do you see playing Anna Nicole Smith in the movie?

UPDATE, 2/9/07: You can go to the comments for the Zsa Zsa connection (which is really all this story needed to be perfect) or just go to TMZ. They've pretty much got this story covered.

Um...Jessica Simpson will totally play Anna Nicole in the movie. Is that even a real question? :D

i'm not sure who i despise more. jessica or anna.

actually, totally jessica. anna may have done some . . . tasteless . . . things in her life, but from what i hear, she was a decent mom (hell, she just had a baby girl!), and maybe deep down inside, she really did [gag] love that old guy. jessica seems that if she ever were to procreate, she wouldn't even know where it came from.

the entire story is sad, yet would definitely make a B+ tv movie.

I don't despise Anna Nicole Smith, I just feel sorry for her. What a mess. As for Jessica Simpson, she's just amusing, and I appreciate anyone who can amuse me that much.

Jenny McCarthy in the TV movie? She's schilling for Weight Watchers now though, so she may be contractually prohibited from supporting Trimspa.

Jenny McCarthy, that's a good one. See, I was thinking Scarlett Johansson, but maybe I was going a little too upscale.

Wow, I heard a few clips of Anna Nicole on the radio yesterday, and I don't know that I've ever heard anyone so incoherent, maybe ever.
