norge

Woo! Just bought my ticket! This year's ridiculous February adventure, as you may remember, was to Brazil. The year before that was Mali and Morocco. The 2007 edition will find me in sunny - I hope - Norway, for a week-long dance camp and another week of, well, I don't know yet, but I bet it'll be cold. I might visit friends, or check out Stockholm or Copenhagen.

Woot woot, so awesome! You have friends in Norway? lucky. Do you speak any Norwegian? Snakker du Norsk? Vill du sende meg smur? OK, that exhausts my knowledge of the language.

Uh - so, you want me to send you butter (smør), is that right? Yeah, I speak Norwegian, or I used to - I lived there for a year after college.

WOW, that sounds like an awesome trip! will the norwegian dancers be there, too?

i'm glad to see someone can afford to take 2 weeks off for vacation . . . i took 10 days last year for my Israel trip, and i think i put in 10 days worth of overtime just to be able to leave. not to mention the overtime i had to do when i got back to get myself back to speed. never trust coworkers to do anything right.

Yep, I get vacation time! Yay! And yeah, the Norwegian dancers who were here will be there - the woman organizes the trip, and the two guys will probably be at some of the parties. Good times!

Actually I was going for "Please pass the butter." I have no idea how to spell it, I just heard it at dinner once! (at a friend's house).

ooh, that does sound like good times. will you be going on your own? and don't forget about the pictures. i'm all about the pictures. :)

Don't you worry, I'll take plenty of pictures. :) I'm going by myself but I'll probably know some of the people from other dance parties and workshops.

Sophist - ohh, right, "sende" means "send" and "pass" - and, in the context, "pass" makes a lot more sense. Must work on those norwegian skills....

P.S. I'm worried that you're going to defect to Norway...what with the dancing and the mystery reading and the traveling and the NYEing...

Don't make me stage an intervention, missy.
