There are some nice perks to having Japanese ladies stay with you. For example, they sometimes get it into their heads to make a big do-it-yourself sushi dinner. Mmmmm. This was Saturday dinner a couple of weeks ago:
Clockwise, from right: cucumber and lettuce, shisou leaves and daikon sprouts, tuna, omelette, smoked salmon. Plus, of course, miso soup, seaweed, and lots of sushi rice. I don't really like sushi, but I make an exception for do-it-yourself sushi.
KaDe was only here for about 10 days, so she's back home now - in fact, I got her thank-you postcard today. Mrs. S. is sticking around a bit longer to take English conversation classes in an overcrowded classroom full of people whose accents she can't understand.

The classrooms at that place are pretty small. Fortunately my class only has three students.
