Tonight J.Chu and I saw Cars. Cars? So cute. I mean, you knew this already, because it's Pixar, and Pixar can do no wrong, but it is *so* cute. I recommend it. I recommend getting there late, because the previews are almost universally horrible, but not so late that you miss the adorable short.

The previews? Seriously. Did you know there was a sequel to the Santa Clause? Well, guess what: there's going to be a third one. They couldn't even find anything funny to put in the preview. The one good preview (and it was good) was for the next Pixar movie, which is about a Parisian rat.

Cars is on my list of to-sees, but I agreed with one reviewer who asked when Pixar was going to make a movie that was more about girls than boys (and by this, I do _not_ mean "Barbie: Animated!"). Always an issue with cartoons, I guess...

I saw "The Lake House" yesterday. As long as you suspend any attempt to apply logic to the movie, it's a pretty good time. Keanu looks good and actually emotes. Everyone is dressed well. Dylan Walsh gets to be just as milquetoast as he is on "Nip/Tuck," but without the diversions into kinkiness and crime. It's a solid couple of hours of entertainment - a bit above the average for a chick flick.

Mr. Mister and I tried to take Little Miss to see Cars yesterday. Basically we ate a lot of popcorn and candy, then left the theater because she was being loud and obnoxious. Maybe it was from all the candy. Hmm...
