friends
The Post had an article today about a study that found, to borrow the headline's summary, "Social Isolation Growing in U.S." They're saying, basically, that an increased number of people don't have anyone they can confide in. Whether or not they're right about that, it just made me thankful of the good friends I seem to have stumbled across. To those who read the blog: thanks, guys! To those who don't: I secretly hate you, and your mama's ugly!

Yeah, I was playing around with my dissertation acknowledgements the other day (i.e. procrastinating from writing it) and I thought, "I should probably thank the blog people." I'm not sure how to do that without appearing to be a total dork, though. Thankfully, I have at least a year to ponder it...
