The Christmas show is the big event of the year, but the Washington Revels also puts on a much lower-key performance each spring to bring in the May. Here's the first maypole group doing their dance in rehearsal tonight. I think it was not long after I took this picture that they realized they'd totally messed up and had to stop. Anyway, it was a nice rehearsal - the first time we got to meet our kids. The performance is Sunday...maybe I'd better learn the words sometime....
