Just got back from seeing the New Pornographers (first picture - chubby keyboard guy playing some mysterious instrument, possibly a melodium?) and Belle and Sebastian (second picture). It was a fun show, and both bands did an excellent job at playing the few songs I know.
But it's so annoying going to shows at the 9:30 Club on school nights, because the metro stops running at midnight, yet they almost never manage to start shows on time. Sigh. Belle and Sebastian had already been playing for about 1 1/2 hours when we left, so they were probably nearly done, but still. Annoying.
