carcassone

Since I live at home, and I am surrounded by nerds, my mom and I play a lot of games. I was experimenting with the setting on my NEW CAMERA that lets me focus on things that are very close up. (My dad's in the background, making hot chocolate.) See, living at home isn't all bad - the food is good, there's always someone to play Scrabble (or, here, Carcassone), and boy do I save a lot of money. Last week when Aunt Towwas was here, my mom got to play Scrabble every day. Which meant when we played yesterday, she totally won.

I have come to accept the fact that I suck at Scrabble. While I consider myself to be a fairly literate person with a good vocabulary, I simply lack any talent at taking a jumble of letters and extracting a word out of them.

But I'm okay with that these days.

I love using the digital camera to get things close-up. I believe I'll post some examples (at J. Po's urging... I've been lazy) today.

Hey, Carcasonne! I've never played it, is it fun? does it have good replay value? I've been meaning to get a nice new 2-player game.

Carcassone is totally fun, and my mom and I have played it at least once a week for the last couple of months. I also recommend BuyWord, if you like Scrabble-type games.

I wanna give a big shout out for the game Ticket to Ride! FUN! You can play with 2 and also expand up to 5-6. Buy your copy today!

I can give testament to the fact that beating you is no small feat. When the group of us gazing at the boggle cube were excited to shout out our four letter words you were rolling out six letter words like nothing. You have a talent, my friend. Use it wisely.
