book your blog

One of my original reasons for not wanting to blog was that I don't like the idea of possibly losing my whole journal through some electronic snafupaloony. Well, it turns out this isn't really my journal (my journal is even less interesting), and it also seems kind of unlikely that blogspot will vanish, although you never know. But this idea - a company that will print your blog in a nice solid real-paper book - still appeals to me. Whaddya think? Would you do it? And one day, will I be reading this post in my blog book (blook)?

This really doesn't appeal to me. I don't need to be reminded in print of exactly how boring I actually am. It's much more fun to live in my fantasy world of wit.

If I had kept a blog in my early twenties, now that would be a good book.

I think Fran Lebowitz said it best: Your life story should not make a good book. Don't even try.

I find the idea intriguing though. Because once the Amish take control of government and shut the internet down I'd like to have a copy of what I wrote so I could describe it to my kids via candlelight.
