restaurant week
Tonight G-dog, Miss S and I went to fancy-schmancy restaurant Vidalia for dinner. It's restaurant week, so it was cheap. -er than usual, which is to say, still a lot of money. But you know how you can really tell it's fancy? The decanter of mouthwash in the bathroom. (Is that a decanter? Who knows their glassware?)

Yeah, it looks like a decanter, but those are usually a little bit wider on the bottom, to allow the wine to get contact with more air and "breathe" better.
Not a bad choice of words though.
How was the food?
The food was quite tasty. I had white bean soup with chunks of ham and apple, trout with all kinds of delicious little cubey meaty-vegetabley things, and a lemony custardy tart. And fancy-ass water. My favorite thing was the onion jam-type stuff they served with the bread (instead of butter). Maybe that's why they provide mouthwash - all the onions. (Thus the name Vidalia.)
