do you hear the people sing
This morning we did a short, less-Christmassy version of the big Christmas show for kids. It was in this totally random performance space - basically an upstairs lobby at a big theater downtown. One thing that was kind of cool about it, besides the hideous mint-green walls, is that we came in through the stage door past the big Les Misérables prop boxes. They were even labeled in the Les Miz font. G-dog, Miss S, Mr K and I were like, cool, let's do that instead! We even cast it. But I guess the director didn't go for it. After our little shows, we had to clear out so they could get ready for the matinee.

aw, no impromptu Les Miz... I always wanted to burst into impromptu West Side Story-style gang strutting with friends but it never seemed to happen. Oh well. I had to make do with watching the "musical" episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
At the party last night at Miss S's house, we did do some Les Miz singing. So all was not lost. No impromptu gang strutting, though - too bad.
