A Swedish woman at work just stopped by to tell me she'd been to see the show. She said it was a little strange to see all these songs performed on stage, because to her, they're just songs that everyone sings together, at weddings or celebrations or whatever. But she said seeing it on stage made her realize, yknow what? there's really culture there. She really liked it.
She says didn't pick me out until the last song, when we walk up into the side aisles - apparently I was standing right near her (as I belted out the descant to the Sussex Mummers Carol). I feel kind of bad that people come because I convince them to, then can't pick me out...but I'm not really the point of the show. Maybe next year the hat lady won't make me cover my hair. And maybe one year we'll have a show set in a period when people wore glasses.

Yeah, people didn't recognize me, either. It's those damn silly hats.
And thanks, now I have "Nu Ar Det Jul Igen" going in my head, over and over and over....
Now that the show's over, I can sing it in my head in Norwegian - Nå er det jul igjen og nå er det jul igjen og jula varer helt til påske...
..Nei det er ikke sant nei det er ikke sant for derimellom har vi faste! I like Norwegian. :o)
AAaaaaaaaaagh! Save me from repetative Norwegian Christmas songs!
How about repetitive Finnish songs instead? Pappani talo, kivinen talo...
