Hmm, as the environmental health and safety officer in my lab, it is my duty to point out that open toed sandals are a no-no. Not that I enforce any of the EH&S standards in my lab.... (as I reach into my desk drawer for a snack)
(EH&S standards apply only between the hours of 9-5 on workdays, when the inspectors are around)
Yeah, I noticed that, too! I very carefully didn't wear open-toed shoes, then I was like, ok, why did I bother?
