movie star...or year-old ruminant

G-dog and I took the bus up to rehearsal yesterday. Just after we'd turned onto Wisconsin, we saw quite a scene. A couple of TV vans were parked in the street, and the door to the Ralph Lauren store was mobbed by camera crews and gawkers. We figured Nicole Kidman must be in there - she was shooting a movie in the neighborhood yesterday. So we stood up and stared, because we never get real celebrities in D.C. (plenty of famous people, but most of them are politicians), but we couldn't see her.

Well, it turns out there's a good reason for that. The people were actually all crowded around trying to catch a glimpse of the DEER that had wandered into the store. Read about it here. (Fun fact - I went to grade school with the store manager they keep quoting. I was like, oh, so *that's* what happened to Kira Sternburg.)

I guess the deer should be happy it didn't wander into a hunting store. Ha! Like there would be a hunting store in Georgetown!

Forget Nicole Kidman...people like to see it when good animals go bad.

That deer has some good taste.
