carving pumpkins

I love carving pumpkins. Sliding the knife through that thick, crunchy crust, making shapes, popping out the cut pieces. My pumpkin didn't actually turn out that well - a kid at the carving party told me it was a "weird pumpkin," and I had to agree - but it was very satisfying.

Sounds like blossoming serial-killerish behavior to me. "Oh, that TOWWAS, she always seemed so polite - except when she was around pumpkins," is what your coworkers will say in their Dateline interviews.

I just can't imagine humans would be as satisfying as gourds. Are you suggesting I try it to see if it's as much fun?

Oh are you going to love this...

(Totally save for work, even with the weird name)

Dude. I had the most fabulous time carving pumpkins this year too! The name of my jack-o-lantern is Gooby McGooberson. It's a goofy looking pumpkin, but I wanted it that way. Really.

Grrrrr, you're right, that is really fun. I just wish there was a way to save & display my fabulous jack-o-lanterns, like with that one make-a-paper-snowflake site.

I had my pumpkin out on the porch tonight and I decided I do like it. Its lopsidedness makes it kind of scary.
