I was reading Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Then I finished it. I totally cried at the end.
Good story, huh?
Not only was I reading Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, I was reading the movie tie-in edition. It had a color section in the middle with stills from the movie.
I would like to note that I picked it up at work for free. (What, did the publicist think we'd cover the new edition? Are our readers supposed to care?)

Yay for obsessiveness! I have made no progress on my book in the past two days. I feel small by comparison...
Well, I had time to read because I'd gone home early, see. I also made a start on Kristin Gore's novel, which has already made me laugh out loud several times.
You beltway insider you. I've heard about that book, let us know how it is. Of course, I've already got something like 5-6 books still not started, so I figure you've got until about next March to form an opinion.
So far, it's super funny. I figure this is like you reading Freakonomics, but keeping your distance from cheese-moving and JackWelchorama. I'll read this one, and, ok, I kind of want to read the Washingtonienne's novel, but I will not touch one of those Bob-Woodward-inside-politics books with a 10-foot pole.
I also saw the Washintonienne book at Borders the other day, but I think it was because of the "Hey look! Breasts over here!" factor.
Ah, yes, that important factor. So did that make you want to buy my employer's product a few weeks ago? (Less likelihood of salaciousness [salacity?] inside, though - it was a cover story on breast cancer.)
